Trace Switch route.

I'm looking for a application that help me by providing a detail trace. Like if I do trace between to IPs I should get detail information like how many switch and router ports are between to points.

I'll be thankfull if any one help me.

Just using the traceroute command will give you each hop.

Hi,

for layer 2 and 3 trace on Cisco devices you can use Path Analysis, a Campus Manager application.
