We have recently experienced the Port Keepalive Loopback error on a platform that has been stable for months (IOS 12.2.44SE).
All my investigations have talked about implementing the manaual "no keepalive" on trunk ports. I also have seen all the assocaitaed bugs.
But I have also seen statements that say that the keepalive has been disabled for trunks in IOS above 12.2.50SE. However all my investigations have shown that this is not the case and that a manual "no keepalive" is still required.
Does any one have a configuration which allows the IOS to disable the keepalive by deafult or is the only option to use the manual configuration.
