UDP forwarding

Can anyone confirm if the Cat6K ip forwarder process forwards frames that are broadcast to the specific subnet broadcast address and not the 255.255.255.255 address?

i.e if a workstation sends to 141.144.5.127 which in this case would be the broadcast address of subnet 141.144.5.0 /25

ip forward-protocol udp sunrpc - is configured as well as a helper address on the interface but the box does not seem to forward the frame.

There don't appear to be any commands on the C6K to display this either?

Yes, the Cat6k can foreward UDP broadcasts that are directed to the subnet broadcast. Make sure your configuration does not have "no ip directed-broadcast," a default configuration, as these will prevent the packets from being forwarded.
