What does this command do? I searched the other forums and found just one reply to a similar request. It was very general and of not much use. I also searched Cisco's web site for this and found no real info. Can anyone tell me if this can be used for troubleshooting and how?
Thanks
Sam

There are some services, like echo, discard, chargen etc, which use either tcp or udp protocol. If you enabled this service, (either tcp-small-servers or udp-small-servers) these services will be enabled. Usually these should be disabled on a router, as these ports if are remaining open, a hacker from the internet can hack into your network.

Thanks Harold. I was just skimming through some articles and noticed (in case OP wanted to update his link).
