unable to upgrade 3620's IOS

I am trying to copy IOS 12.6 from one 3620 (size 12.8MB) to another. On target 3620 has 2 8MB flash SIMM as allocated as partion 1 & 2. I could not finish copy since no partion can hold 12.8MB. Is there anything I can do to configure 2 flash SIMM to 1 portition? The last thing I want to do is to buy a 16MB flash SIMM.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to merge the 2 partitions.

Therefore, you only solution will be to get a new flash.

The problem was solved. In globle config mode, using "no partition flash:" will remove partition.

you said you had a dual flash bank device. Which I believe can't be merge into one.

So, was it a dual flash bank or a single flash bank that you previously partitioned ?
