Hello Friends
i have a 100 node network and want to create vlans on 5 switches .
and to use 2600 series for inter vlan routing is it feaseable or use some
good layer 3 switch .

I can think of a number of applications that your solution would be appropriate. One example is an organization consisting of 5 autonomous client-server groupings sharing little data. I can also think of applications that this may be inappropriate. These fall on the other end of the spectrum. These applications exhibit characteristics such as data intensive; high-reliability, secure, etc. Good design depends on your business requirements.

as long as the 2600 has a 100mb ethernet card this will work. (its called one armed routing). I would suggest you look at 3550 l3 switch as a growth enabling alternative.
