Using DHCP With Two Mirrored ROS configs

I am confused about a DHCP config. I have a scenerio where I have two physical ports working as Router on a Stick for the same VLANs on a Cisco router running DHCP. I want both sets of subinterfaces to pull IPs from one set of DHCP pools. From my understanding, as long as the IP of the subinterface is in the DHCP pool, that pool will be selected for the vlan. However, when testing this in packet tracer I found that you cannot have subnets that differ from the DHCP pools on the subints. However, these subnets must be smaller than the pool's for both subints to pull from the pool, as the subint networks cannot overlap.

Is this a flaw in Packet Tracer or DHCP? I was expecting two DORA processes, where the PC only accepts one.

Two subinterface have same IP in one router?

If Yes that not work' router not accept two interface to have same IP or subnet

MHM

No, the subinterfaces have separate IPs in separate networks that are subnets of the DHCP pool.

Are you use ip helper-address ?

MHM

No, DHCP is running on the same device as the subinterfaces.

Can you share topolgy and config
