VLAN PROBLEM

Hi

I need to configure 4 VLAN in my cisco 2900 series router because currently my network is very very slow but I have one problem with setup becuase i have one application server which has public IP and if I configure the vlan then how come my vlan client will access application server.

I would like to know how do i proceed as cisco 2900 switches are not trunked and to configure VLAN i need to configure ISL.

If you want a client on one VLAN to access a server on another VLAN, you would have to configure routing between the various VLANs. Some switches have Layer3 functionality built in, but the 2900 series does not. Probably the easiest way to accomplish this would be to use a "router-on-a-stick" approach, where you trunk a router to the switch and use it to route between the VLANs... Without a router in there you'd be out of luck though...
