HI ALL ACTUALLY WE R HAVING VPN LINK BETWEEN OUR SHENZHEN , CHINA AND PAINGTON , UK SITES WE HAVE 2 MBPS SHARED CONNECTION WHICH WE R USING FOR VPN NOW THE PROBLEM IS THAT OUR LINK IS GOING VERY SLOW I CHECKED THE CPU STATUS OF VPN ROUTER (2600 SERIES )IS AROUND 80% IN ONE MINUTE AFTER SOME TIME IT WAS AROUND 40% SO SOMEONE SUGGESTED ME TO PUT VPN ACCLERATOR CARD INTO THE VPN ROUTER AND TOLD ME ONE MODEL NUMBER CISCO 2600/3600 SERIES AIM-VPN/EP INTERFACE MODULE

BUT IN CISCO SITE I M NOT GETTING ENOUGH INFORMATION ABOUT SO CAN ANYONE HELP ME TO GET INFORMATION ABOUT THIS MODULE LIKE WHAT IS THE PURPOSE , HOW IT WORKS , HOW IT WILL HELP ME , HOW TO INSTALL NAD CONFIGURE IT ... I WILL BE GRATEFUL TO U ALL AS I WANNA GATHER INFORMATION ABOUT IT BEFORE I SHUD PROCEED

The following link shows how to install and configure the AIM in a 2600 router:

From experience, using IPSEC on a 2 Mbps point to point link with a 3620 without a VPN accelerator will max out the processor when sending data across the line, you should be able to prove this by looking at the cpu processes on your router (as you have allready noticed) when sending data across the line

I think the specific process to look out for is called "encryption" but can't quite rember, if you enter "show proc cpu | e 0.00", this will display all processes that are using resources and you should see the offending process with a high % of processor utilisation.
