What's Dell doing with Force10

I know this isn't the the best topic to put on a Cisco forum, but I have a few things that I am wondering with Dell's networking and I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

The company I work for is looking to upgrade the network to 10Gbps and 40Gbps a few years from now.  We are looking at Cisco and Dell.  Dell is a much more affordable solution, but I'm concerned about what they will do with Force10.  I have heard that they are turning all of the Force10 line into Dell switches.  I know that Force10 switches use the FTOS operating system.  If they go to all Dell, will the OS change?  Will they still sell their equipment, like the 4810P, 4820T, and S50V?

Dell is much better on the price of the equipment for our network upgrade, but if they aren't going to continue with firmware upddates, and selling the equipment that we would need to scale out, then we could be forced to do an entire network upgrade again in a few years.  We want to avoid that as much as possible.

Truthfully, I want to go with Cisco because that is what I know and because it will have less of a chance of causing issues with our Cisco phones, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco routers, and the Cisco equipment in our branch office.  On the other hand, I do not want to spend a decent amount more money for equipment with stats that are slightly worse than that Dell advertises that Force10 is.

Has anyone seen any relevant information on what will become of Force10?

Thanks!
