I have a network with a cisco RV110W (i know i know it's out of service) gifted by a friend on 2014, which are connected a couple of wireless hosts and a printer plugged with a print server on parallel port, the only way to communicate with the printer among hosts.
Xerox phaser 5550 is the product i wanna link to the router , but it's seem blinking on ethernet port and router port as well.
I don't know why on admin page there's not their IP address on "connected devices" page.
Ping not works not recognize the printer IP address.
I know that either the router and printer are old... but also costy.
I want to leverage the power of gigabit if it's possible and recover the Xerox ethernet interface.
Thanks.

- Probably the port settings are wrong for the Xerox device on the RV110W , should be access mode. Check logs on the RV when the xerox is connected , and disable auto smartport if it is enabled ,

ok... no logs seeds at the moment, i'm using it for home/small office purposes.
"access mode" and "auto smartport" never seen before.
on the Xerox settings I deactivate the parallel interface and activate the ethernet interface with static ip assignment as i've done to the print server, just basic setups for me...
anyway if this require more struggle, i upgrade the networking stuff...
