We are using Cisco 2500 series router on a network running strictly TCP/IP. A recent scan of our network indicated that some of our routers were sending multicast packets to ab:00:00:02:00:00. I looked at the config of the router and it says that DECnet is not enabled yet a show interfaces switching command shows DEC MOP with 12632 packets out and 0 packets in. Does anyone have any idea why the router would be sending out those packets?
