Hello,
when you do a 'show flash devices' do you actually see the card ? Try the 'verify' command to verify the checksum, and the 'squeeze' command to delete any deleted files from the card.
Also, has this card been used before ? Keep in mind the following (from the release notes):
Supervisor Engine 1 and Supervisor Engine 2 do not support the same Flash PC card format. To use a Flash PC card with Supervisor Engine 2, you must format the card with Supervisor Engine 2. To use a Flash PC card with Supervisor Engine 1, you must format the card with Supervisor Engine 1.
Regards,
GNT

Just an idea, how about putting the 7.5.1 in the bootflash: then reload the sup pointing to the 7.5.1 and then format the slot0: after the sup is running 7.5.1.
This link have step-by-step procedure on how to upgrade a Sup Running CatOS:
Look for section titled "CatOS on Supervisor Module". remember the slot0 or PCMCIA is not recognized yet, so you have to use the bootflash:. The doc have a very nice procedure just require a little bit of reading through it.

Yeap, you might need to delete and squeeze the 5.3.3, as the 7.x is about 10 MB.
Once you delete and squeeze, make sure you do not reboot accidentally, that will be bad. then you have to do xmodem.
