Hello Everyone,
I am trying to connect a nest camera to our wifi system in one of our schools. We currently have WLC 5508 with 3702i APs. The nest camera will connect at one of our other locations with WLC 2504 and same aps, but won't connect at the school with the WLC 5508. Does anyone have any insight as to why this may be happening or any settings I could look at to troubleshoot? Any help would be great.
WLC 5508 SV - 8.5.131.0 and 8.2.151.0 (not working on either)
WLC 2504 SV - 8.2.166.0

- The problem is probably 'far away' from the wl-controller-type being used. Issues raise such as ; it the camera being programmed to connect to particular ssid (ONLY)/e.g. What authentication schemes are used on based locations for the wireless equipment ? Does the camera comply ? Is the camera authorized.... etc.

It doesn't matter what ssid we try to connect to on the 5508 it won't connect, but it connects to the ssids on the 2504 all using same authentication.

- Then you could for instace , look up the authentication records at the authentication servers used by the 5508 for the particular SSID and check if the authentication for the camera is successful or not.

Its just using WPA2-PSK for the SSID. Where would the authentication be for that?

i have noticed that the nest cams i use only support 2.4ghz and not 5ghz.. i would recommend comparing the configs from the two ap's and see the differences. another thing to do is create a all new ssid with a very basic config. also what is doing dhcp? the cam will want a ip address unless your configuring manually.

Currently the camera is connected to my 2504WLC at 802.11n 5ghz channel.
