One Way Traffic

Hi All,

When all the traffic running on the primary link, can observe one way traffic on the backup link. Bidirectional traffic on the backup link only can be

observed when primarly link manually shut down.

My Question is: During what kind of sitiona will cause one way traffic, (not relate to link problem). the scenario below is primary backup link design, when all the traffic running on the primary link, there should be no traffic can be observed on the backup link. But why there are such huge one way traffic on the backup link?

Primary Link

Manually shut down the primary LAN interface, can observe bi-directional traffic on the backup link.

Hello,

when you say backup and primary link, what exactly are you referring to ? Do you have an Etherchannel configured ? If you can, post the configurations of your switches, that might give an indication of the observed behaviour...
