Cat 2950 hangs.. and performance bad

Hi all

I have workking with VLAN with cisco router(3640) and cisco Switch 2950

VLAN's are working fine with the configuration

I have various clients connected with the switch

and the traffic control iam doing on cisco 3640

when any client have DoS attack or some other attack

the switch hangs, and rest of the customer will have problem of performance

how to solve this problem.. any solution will be great

What vlan does the mgmt vlan interface reside? If it is the same as the user vlan, try creating a separate vlan and move it there.

managemetn VLAN and user VLAN are different

still i have the Switch going hang

any idea will be appriciated

Possible that the CPU spiked and caused issues for other clients connected to the same switch. I would suggest to connect a console to the switch and capture add'l data when the problem occurs - show tech and several iterations of show proc cpu would be a good start.
