hi everybody,

i want to buy a 515 pix firewall which has 2 fixed fast ethernet interfaces.

and i want to connect one interface to my untrusted network ,one to local lan .

also i have 4 snsetive servers which i have to buy an extra interface card and i name it DMZ .

pealse someone tell me how i could recognize dmz ,i don't know if i have to

config the extra interface as dmz or it is a DMZ specified interface ?

and one thing alse that i want to know if fast ethernet link whcih connect my servers (via a switch ) could response to my prople heavy traffic between servers and lan .

Hi

You could buy a package with 3 interfaces (inside, outside and dmz)

part number = PIX-515E-R-DMZ-BUN or PIX-515E-UR-DMZ-BUN

the interface will be listed as 'ethernet2' (o and 1 being built-in inside/outside)

The servers in the dmz are accessible to inside and outside users, depending upon your configuration.
