Hi,
I have a 1721 Router configured with an IPSec tunnel to a VPN 3000.
I was trying to use AES-256 as the encryption method, but when i try to create the Transform-set on the router, below message comes up
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
xxx(config)#crypto ipsec transform-set myset2 esp-aes 256 esp-md5-hmac
WARNING: encryption hardware does not support transform
esp-aes 256 within IPSec transform myset2
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Does that mean that AES encryption would be done through the Software ?
Any idea, when does Hardware Encryption support be available for AES ?

Yes, AES is currently done in software only. We're coming out with a range of new hardware accelerators that will do both 3DES and AES, no word officially on when they'll be released though, sorry.
