Hi,
anyone has any idea how I can allow a client at the outside int of the pix to get a ip from the dhcp server at the inside int? Is setting up a dhcp relay agent at the outside the only solution?
Thanks and regards.

The PIX will not forward DHCP broadcast like the Routers do with the "ip helper" command.
Your alternatives are
- set a dhcp relay agent outside the PIX.
- configure the dhcp server feature on the PIX:

Hi Yusuff,
Thanks very much for your input.
I have tried the dhcpd command but seems like it is not supported if use on outside interface.
The documentation also states that currently, the PIX Firewall DHCP server daemon can only be enabled on the inside interface.
Do you know whether there will be new release to allow the daemon to be enabled on any other interfaces?
Thanks and regards,
