asdm failures?

Recently, we upgraded our ASDM to 6.1(5(51). I was able to use ASDM just fine, until today. For some reason that I cant find, ASDM launcher will launch, the progress bar for the cached software hits 100%, i see the "Software update complete" then it just hangs there.

I uninstalled Java 6 update 11 and reinstalled it, as well as uninstalled ASDM and reinstalled via the web interface on my firewall - but to no avail.

any suggestions?

Try downgrading your java to 1.4 or 1.5

or try upgrading ASDM to version 6.1(5)51. I ran into the problem with ASDM where the new version of Java broke the functionality of ASDM. Upgrading to the new version of ASDM fixed the Java problem.

we are on 6.1(5)51. I uninstalled all java, rebooted, and let the new app install the verison it wanted ( version 5 update 11) and it seems to be working properly now.
