Hi,
I have an issue upgrading a ASA 5515-X's ASDM version on the latest version of Windows 10.
The launcher reports: "A newer version of the ASDM-IDM Launcher is available. To upgrade, click the "Upgrade Now" button".
When I click this button, the latest lancher is downloaded, i.e. v.1.9(5), but the installation process gets stuck, reporting:
"The feature you are trying to use is no a network resource that is unavailable."
"Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'dm-install-tmp.msi' in the box below."
Use source: C:\Users\myusername\.asdm\cache\ "
When I look in that folder, that file dm-install-tmp.msi" is present, so it's strange that it cannot access it.
When I cancel, there is a popup error message:
"Error 1714. The older version of Cisco ASDM-IDM Launcher cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group".
When I click on Cancel (hoping to avoid the upgrade process and access the ASDM), the launcher just exits.
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Jan
