How do I block bit torrent software using the Firewall feature set in a 3725 router?
I block in both directions any ip using service port 6881 to 6889. But that does not seem to stop them.
does any one have a suggestion?
Thanks

If blocking these ports does not help, it is possible that the ports are being dynamically negotiated. If that is the case, the only option left to you is to figure out if a central site is used for the same and deny access to that site.

I block TCP ports 6881-6999 in both directions and that works. 6881 to 6889 was for an older version of bit torrent. New version use a wider range, 6881-6999. I wonder if I need both directions, I'll put a log on to see.
Thanks!
