cannot access hotmail

currently we are using pix firewall 515 and cisco ids 4215. we can access all sites on the internet except for hotmail. We cannot even see the hotmail homepage. We have cobfigured Port Address Translation (PAT) to access the internet. Is the accessing hotmail problem has something to do with the PAT???

Don't think this is a PAT issue rather a ACL problem, you say you can not access hotmail only? Can you access all other sites i.e. yahoo, AOL, Cisco etc.

Have you got any syslog messages that you can provide, also it would be a good idea to have a look at you PIX configuration. If you are going to post the config of you PIX here please takeout any sensitive info.

You can enable logging on you PIX by issuing:

In config mode:

logging on

logging buffer debug

sho log

The above will show you what the PIX is seeing when you try to goto hotmail.com

Other than this, I am not aware of any issues related to hotmail access via a PIX.
