Can surf web and connect out to office from home on my Cisco 678. Cannot connect from office to home. Port forwarding established. Cannot ping router but can traceroute. Is this a firewall problem? If so, how do I fix it?

Hi,
The problem is vague. I am confused! What is the problem again? YOu can't ping router from outside, right? What do you mean by can't connect from office to home?
Thanks

Thanks for responding. I use Symantec PCAnywhere with a TCP/IP connection. I have port forwarding on the router at work and the router at home. I can access from home to work but not from work to home. PCAnywhere says it cannot find the IP address. When I ping the home IP address, I get no reply. However, my ISP provider can traceroute to my router, but they cannot get a reply from the router or ping it either. They think it is a configuration or setup problem in the router. Any ideas? Is this a hardware issue or a software issue.

Hi,
Would you share the configs, just mask the IP addresses and the passwords.
Thanks
