We currently have a VPN tunnel setup between a Cisco 3005 and Sonicwall PRO330 and are having problems keeping the tunnel up. It seems like the Cisco is dropping the connection and the Sonicwall doesn't know about it. The Sonicwall will re-negotiate the connection at the end of the SA Lifetime and the tunnel comes back up. I have tried to set the SA lifetime on the Sonicwall to different intervals, but the Cisco is always dropping the connection several hours before the SA lifetime expires.
Any ideas? Thanks

Try rebooting the Sonic Firewall and then try again.

rebooting does re-establish the connection, but that's only a temporary fix. The Sonicwall is doing it's job of re-negotiating the connection at the end of the SA lifetime, but the Cisco is dropping the connection several hours before the lifetime expires.
