Our PBX infrastructure are all Nortel, however or Data infrastructure and VPN is all Cisco. Currently our Telecom folks have deployed what they call a I2050 soft phone. It is a software phone that you install on your PC and plug a head set into a USB port.
Anyway, this apparently was working fine while we hosted the VPN service on a PIX 515e. However we recently replaced that with a VPN3005 concentrator. I am not doing any traffic management or filtering in the VPN tunnel. Users are able to create the tunnel and place calls, however randomly the phone will reset itself with an error message of "watchdog has expried". The fact that they can use the phone most of the time and that the VPN tunnel remains up even though they get this expiry issue makes me thing it is a Nortel issue, however, I am told by the phone folks it is not. Anybody have any experiance with this product? Any ideas? Thanks.
