The DNE is installed as part of the VPN 5000 client software. Does anyone know what it is or does?

I am not entirely sure either. Same thing gets installed for vpn 3000 client.
I do know that when I set sygate personal firewall to block it or uncheck it from network neighborhood, you cannot connect to vpn concentrator.
