DHCP when Split Tunneling disabled

Hi all

When I configure 'tunnel everything' under split tunneling policy (disable split tunneling) on the vpn concentrator, I expect all traffic beeing routed through the tunnel. Fortunatelly, the DHCP Renewals aren't send through the tunnel. Of course this should be like this, but what's the logic behind it? Is it only that the client knows, that dhcp has to go through clear text or what logic is behind that?

I'm talking about remote users.

Concerning your previous message: dhcp renewal is unicast to the dhcp server not broadcast, so unfortunatly this is not the reason :-(
