Hi All.
Im having a vpn client problem with just 2 machines. All others ok. VPN connection auth is passed thru to AD Server. All clients issued with Correct DNS and WINS info. Ip config shows same. Can ping and NS lookup exchange server but outlook cannot connect to it. Client cannot connect other network resources, mapped drive etc. Have compared settings and software with other machines that work fine and im stumped... even uninstalled and reinstalled VPN Client.
One user got a perfect connection at Euston station then when arrived home same problem!
Any help appreciated... its driving me mad!
Regards Steve.

I had a similar incedent where the firewall on the pc was blocking exchange traffic. They could do other stuff, but not get to exchange. They disabled their Windows firewall and they were able to get to it then. I think there is a place in firewall properties to allow or deny certain types of traffic.

Its not that weve been through settings to ensure windows firewall is off!

Are the users using DSL/ADSL? Perhaps you are running into an MTU,PMTU,PPPOE issue?

Yes user are ADSL.
