FMC and FTD Cisco FPR2110 Threat Defense Threat Protection License

Hello!,

I'm having an issue with the FPR2110T-TMC license. I was under the impression that this particular license was supposed to license the Malware and URL filtering features of the firewall, but I was only able to license the Threat Defense functionality. When I try to license the other features on the license dashboard it tells me that I have inefficient licenses to give out. Is there something I'm missing here? Any feedback is much appreciated!

the license is correct.. have you registered with smart licensing ? and does the smart licensing page on cisco.com show that you have the correct license. please get screenshots from smart licensing page and FMC..

see this for  more troubleshooting steps:

Sir,  Thank you for responding. We are using Specific License Reservation because we cant have our current deployment touching the regular internet.

These are the licenses I have now:

Cisco FPR2110 Threat Defense Malware Protection License (2 that are TMC)

Cisco FPR2110 Threat Defense Threat Protection License (6 that are coded with T and 2 coded with TMC)

Cisco FPR2110 Threat Defense URL Filtering License (2 that are TMC)

I have already used the 2 Threat Defense Malware Protection License (TMC) and 2 Cisco FPR2110 Threat Defense URL Filtering Licenses (TMC) and 2 Cisco FPR2110 Threat Defense Threat Protection License (T) on other projects.

So I have the Cisco FPR2110 Threat Defense Threat Protection License left and 2 are coded with TMC and 4 are coded with just a T. Is there a specific way to apply this that im missing?

Under the "Reserved Licenses Tab" I have these items listed:

Cisco FPR2110 Threat Defense Threat Protection License (1) In Use Count, (1) Total Count then the expiry date (2026-JAN-13-UTC)

Firepower MCv Device License  (1) In Use Count, (1) Total Count then the expiry date (PERPETUAL)

Firepower Threat Defense Base Features  (1) In Use Count, (1) Total Count then the expiry date (PERPETUAL)

I cant provide screenshots because it's on a closed corporate network.

before you said you had several of them. now you only have 1 of each ?

what about malware and URL ? are you not seeing that in reserved licenses?

have you contact cisco licensing team for clarification ?

i am really getting confused about what is left.. you said  you had 2 TMC and you used both TMC.. ifyou dont have a TMC license left, then you cant use url and malware for those devices.. you could also email licensing@cisco.com or open a TAC case..

Just wondering, but as long as the license says TMC, it should apply the entire license right?

Yes if its a TMC then it should apply... i am not seeing any screenshots.. so hard to follow what does it show or what is left ? are you able to provide screenshots of what licenses it is showing from the license page ?
