FTP and CBAC.

Hi all,

could someone help me if router 2821

has some kind of restriction of commands

in FTP communication?

We have implemented 2821 with CBAC outside interface (to destination) and one ACL inside interface to permit FTP from client to server. When client connect to server

it succeed. But when we do put or get command it doesnt. We had 2621 with the

same config and this functioned properly. But with the same config on 2821 doesnt do for us

Any suggestions?

Check the IOS image running in the 2821 router in which the particular command support is there or not.

Which IOS version do you use on the 2621 and on the 2821 ?

Hi,

we use 12.3.5c in 2621 and 12.4.5 in 2821.

I know that CBAC from some version maybe 12.3.11T changed radically and it is not CBAC yet but SPI.

But when we use 12.3.8 IOS in 2821 FTP is not working right.

I checked CBAC in older version and sessions created for FTP cpmmunication were correct.

Our problem is that set up FTP connection is no problem but shift data (get put) is problem.

Any suggestions?
