Help with Interface problem

Hi

I have a two pix's in in active/standy by configuration. Sometime early last week the active pix went down and the standby took over.

The problem is there's no apparent reason for it to go down. If I do "show interface" on the active pix, I get:

interface ethernet0 "out" is down, line protocol is up

Could someone please let me know why it would be down and how to bring it up again?

Hi,

This probably indicates problem with physical interface, as normally, it should be up even if after you enable the interface without any cable connected to it.

You may need to open case on this.
