HIDS_INSTALL PROBLEM

The install of HIDS console fails on numerous servers that all have the required service packs.

The version of HIDS is 2.5 and the servers all have Windows 2000 Advanced Server with service pack 4.

The error is "You do not have windows 2000 service pack installed. Setup will now exit"

Any suggestions?

You should consider speaking with your Account Team and have them see if you qualify for an exchange of your HIDS product to the Cisco Security Agent.

Cisco still provides support for the Hids product, but no future development or updates will occur, which is probably why you are receiving the error message.
