I want to know the feature of CDP

The default CDP hold time is 180 seconds

The default CDP update broadcast rate is 60 seconds

I want to know the difference between the hold time and broadcase rate, and why one is 180 seconds and one is 60 seconds.

Hi

Routers & switches send out cdp broadcasts every 60 seconds. If a device misses three updates from a neighbor then it will remove that entry from its cdp table as the neighbor is no longer reachable.
