IDS-SNMP Support

Hi guys:

I have few basic questions regarding IDS.Hope someone can give help me out.

1.Does any version of IDS have SNMP Support.

2.Is there any major difference in configuring 4230 and others like 4235 ,..latest ones ?

To utilise SNMP with Cisco IDS you need to use a seperate windows box with Threat Response which is currently free with IDS sensors. Threat response will report SNMP to management software. VMS and IDS Sensors won't.

There are hardware differences between the 4235 and 4230. The 4230 is now end of life.
