Hi,
We have several 3355 servers configured with ILO, we can manage (switch on/off) these with ILO's web interface.
But we have a few 3315, witch are X3250 M2 IBM servers.
Its also have a management port in the back, and we can configure IP/username/password at BIOS (Baseboard Management Controller - BMC Settings).
But if we try to connect is to a switch, there is no link. (switch is auto-mdx capable) .
What we need to make it work? The IBM's BIOS, BMC firmware is the newest.
Thanks in advance
Attila

Atilla,
We had the same problem (no link light) and discovered that these servers do not have a RSA (Remote Supervisor Adapter) card installed. Seems like the 3355's are shipped with these already installed, but not the 3315's.
Hope this helps.

Denzil
