NAT overlap or NAT with PAT on ASA5500?

In the past, I've always used NAt with overlap but in the documentation with the ASA5510, it clearly stated to use NAT with PAT to accomplish NATTING when you have more inside addresses than available outside addresses. Which one is more secure and more robust or is it the same? OR is my thinking somehow backward?

Use NAT with PAT to accomplish NATTING when you have more inside addresses than available outside addresses. This is more secure and robust.
