Pulling Table information out of the IDS4.0

How can I get table structure information as well as alarm data out of the sensor so that I can import it into our own database?

I can use the IEV to dump the data but that does not help me automate the process from the sensor. We need to be able to collect information concering the alarms and place them in our own database to be able to do correlation. With the 3.0 platform it was easy with the log file being collected on the Solaris MC. But not sure what to

Any links to documenation would ROCK!!

I pull data using scripts and wget based on RDEP: http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/dev_support/access_level/products.cgi?product=IDS_INT_API
