Hello everyone,
I had a question to ask! I am looking into a career direction into security and wanting to get my CCNA Security Certificate. I am working on my CCENT certificate. I don't have an IT background, so should I jump into security or just do the R & S CCNA first?
Thanks
Ahmed

Hi @asahmed1 ,
The CCENT certification contains the concepts of the two first CCNAs.
Although it is true that this certification allows you to choose CCNA Security, the last two CCNAs explain in more detail concepts that are included in the security certification.
For the above, I recommend you first study the 4 CCNA before submitting the security certification.

What 4 CCNAs? And what 2 CCNAs does the CCENT support?
thanks

Hi @asahmed1 ,
From an academic perspective, the first two ccna courses, located in the Cisco Networking Academy, are aligned with the CCENT certification, while the 4 ccna courses of the Cisco Networking Academy are aligned with the CCNA certification.
In Cisco Networking Academy there is also a course called CCNA Security that prepares students with that certification.
I'm sorry if it causes confusion, but, I'm a Cisco instructor and I relate certifications with courses from the Cisco Academy
Regards
