try this freeware named putty:

thanks...by the way i cant invoke the

cryp gen rsa command in my router. iam invoking it in the config mode.

to generate the rsa key, hostname and domain are required.

e.g.

hostname ciscorouter

ip domain-name yourcompany.com.au

crypto key generate rsa

1024

ive done the first 2lines uve mentioned...the crypto command is just not there..
