Stateful

Hi All

I know PIX stateful feature is tacking source,destination ip and source, destination port and flag

i would like to know if someone firewall no stateful feature , But it have used ACL reul, Could anyone tell what is different between stateful and ACL?

access control lists are just a way of classifying traffic. Normally they are used to filter traffic (for example, unless you use ACLs, all traffic is allowed to leave a pix, and none is allowed in (unless its part of an outbound stateful connection), but are also used to classify traffic for VPN usage.
