Any instructions on uninstalling CSA 5.x? We had a pilot group deployed, but have completely rebuilt the VMS server, and need to uninstall the old agents...
Any help is appreciated...

Either uninstall from Add/Remove Programs on each machine or install the agent again from the new server. I believe you'll need to do a prompted install as the silent one won't overwrite the same version (but I could be mistaken).

We tried to deploy an agent kit, although I can't remember if it was a silent install or not. We then tried to uninstall through Add/Remove and got an error stating that we couldn't stop the CSAgent service.

Going into Safe mode in WinXP, and uninstalling CSA worked.

"Net Stop csagent" in a command window may do the trick too. I had some not fun experiences uninstalling in safe mode with 4.0.x but 5 may be different.
