Upgrading PDM

I am currently run a PIX 515e 6.3(1) PDM version 3.0(1). I plan to upgrade to PIX version 7 in 3-4 weeks time but in th interim I want to upgrade the PDM to version 3.0.3. The version that I am running is very unstable.

The installation documentation inplies that the installation will wipe the config, is this the case? Or can I just replace the existing PDM in flash, reboot the firewall and carry on as before.

I have not had a problem on the upgrade of the pdm from a version 2 to 3.01, I recently did a 3.01 to 3.03 on a 6.3.3 with no problems and without needing a reboot.
