Hi there,
we are using a Cisco 3640 for ISDN Dialin and are using Cisco ACS 2.6. The users are authenticated to the Windows NT Domain.
With Windows NT and Windows 2000 Dialup clients, it works fine, but with a win98 Laptop, we have problems.
The user has the name otto and is authenticated to the WIN Domain. When i dialin from a win98 PC, the logging (failed attempts) shows the username DOMAIN\otto, that is not configured in the ACS. Has anyone a solution to this problem ?

Often times complex troubleshooting issues are best addressed in an interactive session with one of our trained technical assistance engineers. While other forum users may be able to help, its often difficult to do so for this type of issue.
To utilize the resources at our Technical Assistance Center, please visit http://www.cisco.com/tac and to open a case with one of our TAC engineers, visit http://www.cisco.com/tac/caseopen
If anyone else in the forum has some advice, please reply to this thread.
Thank you for posting.

In the login name... put the name of your nt domain then a \ , then the username: Like so: ics\justler
or ntdomain\peter... 9x doesn't really support domain joining like NT and 2000 do. Although, you can tell it to join an NT domain... the security just isn't there for 9x.
