You will need to navigate in based on your IOS version, followed by the model you are using (515 in your case). VAC's are plug and play. No additional conffiguration is required. Only the normal IPSec configuration on the PIX needs to be in place. After inserting the card, issue the show version command from the command prompt on the PIX. The VAC/VAC+ should be listed there. To confirm that the VAC+ is encrypting/decrypting packets, issue the show crypto engine verify command. Please note that your PIX needs to be running OS version 6.3 or later with a DES or 3DES/AES license.
