VOIP Deployment

We are in the process of implementing NEC NEAX 2400 IPX switches. These switches will support IP telephony using NEC IP phones. We have 6509 with inline power for LAN/WAN Switching. We also currently have static VLANS. Would someone provide me some guidelines on how to implement a good IP telephony environment.
