Vulnerability Scan

I used Nessus to scan our networks and have the following questions:

1. I scanned the IP addresses of the border routers and DMZ. Is that sufficient? What other are needed to scanned?

2. When I scanned one of the routers, the Nessus scanned through the IP but soon after that it stopped and no results showed on the report. Does anyone know why others work but this one?

You could also try - http://www.grc.com/default.htm -and try out ShieldsUp, scroll down to the 'hot spot' section and click onto ShieldsUp.

The grc program will scan your primeter network for any valnerabilities and show a report, it is secure and very good, I've used it many times for testing.
