WebVPN through a proxy server?

Is WebVPN supposed to work through a proxy server? Usual SSL connectivity works ok but the Java applet fails to load when the browser (IE or Firefox) is pointed at two different test proxy servers (Wingate and ISA Server 2000). Going out direct works fine. Any input appreciated. Can't seem to find any other info on this scenario.

Currently Cisco doesn't support the use of WebVPN through a proxy server. Depending on the type of proxy server and the configuration it might work or not, but the main thing to keep in mind is that when making a WebVPN connection the TCP port 443 is

used from the client to the concentrator.
