I was just wondering if it matters which JAVA one uses on the PC that connects to a PIX via the PDM.
Sun or Microsoft?
My experience is that the Microsoft JAVA is heaps faster to connect with then the Sun version.
Anyone got any comments?

Hi Steffen,
JVM is from Microsoft. JAVA plug-ins are from Sun. Depending on the version of PDM, the requirements differ.
PDM 3.0 adds support for the Sun Java Plug-in versions 1.3.1, 1.4.0, and 1.4.1.
Details on url below

For PDM 2.1, refer to url below
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/iaabu/pix/pdm/v_21/pdmrn21/pdmrn21.htm#xtocid6
Hope this helps,
