I've bought a Catalyst 1300 switch from Amazon and it arrived yesterday. Yay.
The datasheet states:
Complimentary one-year access to our Small Business Support Center for ongoing support and a limited lifetime warranty with Return-To-Factory (RTF) replacement
There's a hardware issue with the switch so I'd like to ask for support. A Cisco youtube video advises that support for the Catalyst 1200/1300 range is available at https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/web/tsd-cisco-small-business-support-center-contacts.html.
I've created a cisco.com account. Unfortunately the link on that page, to register a device, doesn't work. I called the number local to me but was told I must register and the person on the phone cannot help me do it.
Trying a different approach, looking in the settings of my cisco.com account, I came across page:

'Customer' seems most appropriate but I end up at an 'Add Access' screen that says the serial number of my switch is unknown. I guess this probably isn't the right approach.
I'm stuck right now. How can I register my switch given that I bought it from Amazon?
